Renewable energy in our community

“ Alternative energy is a future idea whose time is past . Renewable energy is a future idea whose time has come ” - Bill Penden .

ENERGY is derived from non-depletable , naturally recurring sources like the sun , the wind , the rain , the tides , the waves , and geothermal heat .

These different kinds of sources do not increase greenhouse gases . Both business and residential structures can benefit from the electricity generated by renewable sources of energy , as well as the heat that these sources produce .
The way to encourage the community to use renewable energy sources is by changing residents ’ behaviours . They should be encouraged to lower the energy they use , increase the garbage they recycle , and place a higher value on environmentally-friendly products and services . In other words , the change in residents ’ behaviours is the impetus .
In addition , we can reduce the number of people who drive automobiles by persuading them to convert to other modes of transportation that are friendlier to the environment . For example , the community could use the bus or ride a bike rather than drive cars .
The deterioration of the environment has had and will continue to significantly influence the health of the people living in the country and the standard of living in Malaysia .
The objective is to put this knowledge into practice , which will involve shifting patterns that are not sustainable into more sustainable practices .
Otherwise , the talk will be proven to be relatively cheap . p20
