THE FIRST GREEN-CERTIFIED DUAL AMBIENT WAREHOUSE
COMPLEMENTING its green transportation solutions, Swift offers sustainable warehousing at the Shah Alam International Logistics Hub( SAILH), a modern facility designed to meet the evolving needs of today’ s supply chains and help customers operate efficiently.
Designed for safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility, SAILH offers up to 40,000 pallet positions and advanced infrastructure, including a 12-metre clear ceiling height, heavy-duty floor loading, two-driveway ramp access, 24 / 7 CCTV surveillance, ESFR fire sprinkler systems, a flood-resistant design, solar energy generation, and water recycling systems. These features support efficient, secure, and environmentally responsible operations while ensuring reliable service for customers.
Located in Shah Alam, SAILH is Malaysia’ s first green-certified logistics hub and one of the largest facilities in Southeast Asia. By integrating ambient and cold-chain warehousing under one roof, customers gain greater operational efficiency, flexibility, and support for their sustainability objectives, all while optimising service responsiveness.
Its strategic location ensures seamless connectivity to major ports, highways, and industrial centres, enabling customers to achieve efficient distribution across domestic and regional markets.
The development of SAILH reflects Swift ' s commitment to building sustainable logistics infrastructure that supports the future of supply chains. The facility is also strategically positioned to capitalise on the growing demand for temperature-controlled logistics solutions across industries such as fast-moving consumer goods( FMCG), perishable
food products, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural produce.
By combining green transportation, sustainable warehousing, and carbon reporting, Swift empowers customers to move beyond compliance and achieve meaningful environmental progress, creating sustainable supply chains for the future.
Zero-emission supply chain solutions
Swift helps customers achieve their sustainability goals through green transportation, sustainable warehousing, and carbon reporting
THE green logistics journey of Swift Haulage Berhad( Swift) and its subsidiaries, collectively known as the Swift Group, gained significant momentum in 2023 with the commercial deployment of two electric prime movers into its fleet. While this marked a major milestone in the Group’ s sustainability roadmap, Swift’ s commitment to environmental stewardship had long been embedded in its operations through responsible resource management and the adoption of 3R- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle practices across its facilities and business activities.
Today, sustainability is embedded at the core of Swift’ s business strategy. By integrating green transportation, sustainable warehousing, and carbon reporting, Swift offers customers practical solutions that drive real progress and inspire confidence in their sustainability efforts.
A GROWING COMMERCIAL EV FLEET
WHY YOUR SUPPLY CHAIN NEEDS TO GO ELECTRIC
Meeting Scope 3 Expectations
Global brands are increasingly requiring verifiable emissions data from logistics providers as part of their Scope 3 reporting. Businesses that are unable to support these requirements may face growing pressure within their supply chains.
Managing Rising Fuel Costs
With fuel prices remaining volatile and carbon-related costs expected to increase, electric trucks offer greater cost predictability and improved operational efficiency.
Preparing for Future Regulations
Malaysia’ s aspiration to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050 is expected to drive stricter environmental standards across industries, including commercial transportation.
SWIFT offers customers access to electric prime movers and light trucks, providing a greener alternative to conventional internal combustion engine( ICE) vehicles. As part of its fleet electrification strategy, the Group is rapidly expanding its electric vehicle( EV) fleet and complementing the transition with Euro 5-compliant trucks, enabling customers to transport goods with lower emissions and improved efficiency.
Serving diverse industries, including furniture retail, automotive, and fast-moving consumer goods( FMCG), Swift’ s electric prime movers currently operate across the Klang Valley and Johor, as well as on cross-border routes into Singapore. Plans are underway to scale up the fleet by adding more electric prime movers, significantly expanding low-emission transport capacity for customers.
