GENERATING PASSIVE INCOME
“ I ’ d love to build more . This is just the beginning . It is my dream . I also want to help Malaysians have a second home , not because they are rich but because the second home will make money for them . I want them to know that there ’ s more than one way to invest in property ,” Sharifah stated .
“ In KL , you spend so much , but everything is overpriced . Sometimes you cannot even make money from the rental to pay for the loan . However , if you plan well and build these places to go , heal , detox and enjoy the environment , it will generate passive income for you .”
Despite their income , she shared that some people from countries with stronger currencies like European countries , Singapore and Australia , could enjoy a quality lifestyle on the island due to the currency exchange . A couple from South Africa is a permanent tenant at one of the villas at Rouhi Retreats . They chose Rouhi Retreats as the place to reside after retiring .
Sharifah hopes the guests who stay at Rouhi Retreats will have the stress from their city life removed . They will return from Langkawi feeling energised and recharged .
She reiterated that the journey was just the beginning for her . Hopefully , if God wills , she would love to work on other projects , whether for people or her own .
“ I would like to be known on this island as an architect who can create a peaceful retreat for people worldwide . If people think they want to work in a calm and quiet environment , they can come here . We have good WiFi .
“ If they want to grow old , even without a big budget , like the

Europeans , they can have an alternative lifestyle here . Even the climate can be healing for them , benefitting them mentally and physically . Their budget stretches a long way for a good quality lifestyle . As for Malaysians , they can invest in this and create passive income .”
