RAMADAN is and will always be one of the most awaited months by Muslims . It is the month when every capable Muslim is obligated to perform fasting from dawn to sunset . While some of them might not be able to fast for whatever acceptable reasons , the vibe during this month is significantly different from others . Fasting during this holy month will bring changes to Muslims , both physically and spiritually .

However , with the unpredictable weather nowadays , which sometimes can turn too hot during the day , Muslims need to take care of themselves . Fasting without proper knowledge may lead them to extreme dehydration . Therefore , ensuring one has sufficient energy and water to last them throughout the day for fasting is crucial .
Always make sure to get up for Sahur as it helps Muslims get enough energy before fasting . Plus , Sahur is sunnah after all ! For a person who cannot have heavy meals during Sahur , drinking enough water will be sufficient . You know your body best . But , do not neglect the importance of Sahur - and the blessing it offers .
Understandably , one can get too eager to see the variety of food people sell at Ramadan Bazaar , but please remember not to be greedy . Buy and eat moderately . Remember , fasting trains Muslims to be more disciplined , patient and humble , not the opposite .
Those who are on medication must consult their pharmacists or doctors before fasting . Whilst fasting during Ramadan is essential in Islam , taking care of one ’ s health is equally important .
Last but not least , let ’ s grab the opportunities that Ramadan offers . Let it be the month where we practice self-reflection .
May everyone have a blessed Ramadan !
