TAIPEI DEPUTY MAYOR Tsai Ping-kun announced in December that seven attractions , seven hotels , and a B & B have received halal certification to make the city more hospitable to Muslim travellers . Taipei is the first city in Taiwan to assist tourist attractions and companies in becoming Muslim-friendly in 2019 . Since then , up to 41 hotels have been halal-certified , the most in the country , according to strict guidelines , reported Taiwan News .
Tsai stated that eight more lodging firms underwent adjustments this year , totaling 900 rooms for Muslim guests .
According to a 2019 poll performed by the Taipei City Department of Information and Tourism , Muslim tourists are drawn to the city because of its lovely scenery , folk customs and culture , transportation convenience , cleanliness , and friendliness of its people .
The five-star Taipei Marriott Hotel , centrally located Cosmos Hotel Taipei , Monka Hotel , and FX Hotel Taipei are among the latest halal-certified lodgings in Taipei that cater to a wide range of guests ’ demands .
