Halal science is present in the technical area and in management , where the convergence of halal science and management completes the landscape of the halal ecosystem ( Azman and Ben , 2017 ). The concept of halal built-in can also be positioned as one of the halal science approaches .
What about haram science , then ?
Halal science is not to be compared to haram science . Instead , the term halal science should always be respected and nestled in the mould of Islamic science . When it is halal , inherently , there must be an opposite haram .
However , why would one embrace the haram when the purpose of living on earth is to worship God , The Creator , thus living the life abiding to the halal-haram injunctions .
Doing and subscribing to halal science , guided by maqasid al-shari ’ ah ( the higher objectives of the shari ’ ah ), should help one fulfil the intended cycle of the finite human life on earth to reach the real success in the akhirah ( hereafter ).
Halal science towards realising the rahmatan lil ‘ alamin
As a body of knowledge and a scientific discipline , halal science must be firmly constructed within the paradigm or philosophy of Islamic science . As with other fields of science , halal science is set to serve humanity towards realizing the concept of rahmatan lil ‘ alamin ( mercy for all the worlds ).
