INDONESIA is making a bold move to enhance its role in the global halal economy with the launch of the Halal Indonesia International Industry Expo, also known as Halal Indo 2025.
The event is on Sep 25-28, 2025, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition in BSD City, Tangerang. Dyandra Promosindo is organising it with full support from the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia.
This significant milestone demonstrates Indonesia’ s growing commitment to developing its halal industry, which represented 11.34 per cent of the global halal market in 2022. This share is expected to rise to 14.96 per cent by 2025.
The theme for the event is“ Where Halal Meets the World.” It is designed as a comprehensive Business-to-Business( B2B) and Business-to-Consumer( B2C) exhibition.
It aims to attract over 15,000 visitors and participants from more than 20 countries. The previous edition in 2024 drew more than 12,000 visitors and over 300 exhibitors, setting a high standard for this year’ s expectations.
Halal Indo 2025 will showcase various sectors within the halal industry. These include halal food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and personal care products,
Muslim fashion, textiles, ceramics, and tableware, as well as Muslimfriendly tourism.
STRATEGIC GOALS
Vice Minister of Industry, Faisol Riza, emphasised the strategic importance of the event. He stated that the halal industry has become a new source of global economic growth.
“ Indonesia, as the country with the biggest Muslim population, has enormous potential to play a prominent role in the global halal ecosystem,” Faisol said.
He expressed hope that Halal Indo would serve not only as an exhibition but also as a catalyst for positioning Indonesia on the international stage within the halal industry.
“ Let’ s position Indonesia as a prominent player in the global halal value chain,” he said.
The Ministry of Industry has clearly outlined its objectives to position Indonesia as a leading producer of halal products. In 2024, export transactions in this sector
