The Selangor International Business Summit organised by Invest Selangor under the patronage of Selangor State Government returns for the 3rd edition this year. Elevating the economy SIBS 2019 is an international event bring- ing together global brands and congregating industry players from the region, has attracted a series of high-profile official sponsors, stra- tegic partners, local and international media partners, highlighting the event’s relevance to the local and ASEAN economy. According to Amirudin Bin Shari, Chief Minister of Selangor, “The year’s Selangor International Business Summit will also be an opportunity for investors, both local and foreign, to meet with like-minded multina- tional companies and SMEs to explore the vast opportunities to offer. “Selangor is the golden state of Malaysia, a regional economic powerhouse, and has contributed nearly a quarter of Malaysia’s GDP in the past three years. Our story is one built on hard work and smart work, bringing job-creating investment to Selangor. “This year’s Selangor International Busi- ness Summit will also be an opportunity for investors, both local and foreign, to meet with like-minded multinational companies and SME’s to explore the vast opportunities on offer. “It has been our aspiration to create a bigger and better Selangor International Business Summit with each passing year. This is because it means we are getting better at creating a more vibrant business platform for all. I am happy to report that this has become a reality.” Expansive for attendees This year, SIBS is a bigger event that is held across a total of 43,000 square metres, with 800 booths and anticipating 30,000 domestic and international visitors, said YB Dato’ Teng. With the total number of participating countries increased to 24 from Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Cambodia, India, Vietnam, Japan, China, Bangladesh, Brunei, Philippines, Hong Kong, Korea, Kuwait, Macau, Myanmar, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Australia, Nigeria and United States of America, SIBS has expanded its range of offering with a bigger market audience.
