CICOT partners with Worldex to strengthen Thailand’ s halal ambition
A major milestone in Thailand’ s halal development came when the Central Islamic Council of Thailand( CICOT) signed an official Memorandum of Understanding( MOU) with Worldex G. E. C. Co., Ltd. to coorganise Grand Halal Bangkok 2026.
The signing ceremony, held in Bangkok, brought together leaders from government agencies, the private sector, and the media, symbolising unified national support for building a stronger halal ecosystem.
CICOT Secretary-General Pol. Lt. Gen. Surin Palare stated:“ This partnership reflects Thailand’ s commitment to elevating halal standards and showcasing national capabilities across food, tourism, healthcare, and Islamic finance.”
Worldex G. E. C. Chief Executive Officer Nikom Lertmalikaporn added:“ This collaboration opens new doors for Thai businesses to connect with global halal networks and expand their international reach.”
Grand Halal Bangkok 2026 is now the only halal exhibition in Thailand, officially co-organised with CICOT, reinforcing Thailand ' s credibility and ambition to become a central connector in the global halal economy.-
