THE Islamic Tourism Centre( ITC) empowers researchers to bring their ideas to life and create real-world impact through two flagship initiatives that drive evidence-based growth in Islamic tourism: the Islamic Tourism Research Grant( ITRG) and the Islamic Tourism Symposium( ITS).- RnR
Islamic Tourism Research Grant( ITRG)
ITRG provides funding support to researchers from higher learning institutions and research firms in Malaysia to advance studies in Islamic tourism and Muslim-friendly tourism. The grant enables meaningful research that informs policy, strategy, and sustainable industry development.

Applications are open to public and private local higher learning institutions and research firms, and approved projects must run for a minimum of 24 weeks upon receipt of the Letter of Appointment. All proposed research must focus on Malaysia as the primary study area.

Islamic Tourism Symposium( ITS)
ITS is ITC’ s signature conference and a dynamic platform for in-depth discussions on current issues, challenges, and opportunities in Muslim-Friendly Tourism and Hospitality( MFTH). It brings together industry leaders, academics, policymakers, students, and international partners to exchange knowledge, share research findings, and promote sustainable Islamic tourism practices.
