He added that the country provided readily available halal food and facilities, diverse cultural attractions, and had implemented various initiatives to cater to the needs of Muslim
tourists, making it a comfortable and enjoyable place to celebrate love and passion.
" For Tasik Villa International Resort, we provide a Muslimfriendly environment and delicious halal cuisine. We also offer a wide range of options for Muslim couples. We provide dedicated prayer facilities and designated areas for ablutions throughout the resort and public spaces, ensuring Muslim couples can easily fulfil their prayer obligations,” said Fadzly.
“ Our room accommodations attract Muslim couples due to the facilities we provide, including villas
with private pools and clubhouse rooms with private jacuzzis."
Fadzly explained that for Muslim honeymooners, the key package included private villas with pools or jacuzzis, overwater chalets for privacy, and halalcertified dining. He emphasised the importance of providing experiences that prioritised modesty and comfort, such as a ladies ' spa with female masseuses.
He mentioned that the ballroom at the hotel catered to small, intimate weddings, but foreign guests typically preferred garden weddings. The maximum capacity for such events is around 80 people. The package includes the exclusive use of the VIP villa, minimal garden decorations, and all necessary amenities and facilities for the wedding.

Husnayani Ali, Secretary to General Manager of Pullman Miri Waterfront, said that they had been proactively engaged with Muslim tourists. Each year, they welcomed many Muslim visitors, including those from countries such as Saudi Arabia.
She explained that the hotel had a halal-certified restaurant, so there had been no issues with food. The hotel also provides Muslim-friendly facilities such as a prayer room, and each guest room is equipped with a prayer mat, a Quran, and a qibla direction indicator.
“ For honeymooners and Muslim couples, as well as other couples, we offer the same packages. We provide candlelight dinners at the Executive Lounge. They can also choose to have dinner beside the infinity pool. Guests can also request honeymoon room decorations based on their preferences,” said Husnayani.
“ As for venues, we have a grand ballroom that can accommodate 700 to 800 guests. It is located
Husnayani Ali on level six and features a large window with a sea view. This is why many people choose to hold their weddings here. Akad nikah ceremonies can also be arranged at the Executive Lounge, which offers the same sea view and an open space.”
She explained that the hotel had been working to strengthen its appeal to the Muslim travel market. Given its proximity to Brunei, which was also a Muslim country, the hotel often attracted guests from there who wished to hold their weddings on the premises. She stated that they were able to offer the full standard of Muslim-friendly hospitality.
