Putting bread on the table Programme Keusahawanan CIMB Islamic-Taylor ’ s returns with a unique cohort targeting home bakers from the Asnaf and B40 Community
CIMB ISLAMIC Bank Berhad ( CIMB Islamic ) announced the Programme Keusahawanan CIMB Islamic-Taylor ’ s launch with a unique cohort targeting Asnaf and B40 community home bakers .
The sixth edition of this programme , through the partnership with Taylor ’ s Education Group ( Taylor ’ s ), along with the
support of Yayasan Kemanusiaan Muslim Aid Malaysia , will provide participants access to technical training and business knowledge to enhance the quality of their existing bakery products and the opportunity to branch out to broader markets with their baked goods simultaneously .
Via a specially curated module , the participants will also be given access to a commercial-grade kitchen as part of the course .

They will have the opportunity to be coached by highly experienced teaching chefs from Taylor ’ s Culinary Institute ( TCI ).
Participants will also be issued kitchen utensils worth RM500 before the programme to ensure they are fully equipped for the training programme . They will also be given typhoid jabs to learn the basics of food safety and handling and to expose participants to proper food handling standards while creating awareness of the health risks associated with food-related issues .
A ceremony marking the programme ’ s initiation was held at Taylor ’ s University with CIMB Islamic Chief Executive Officer Ahmad Shahriman Mohd Shariff and Taylor ’ s Group CEO and Executive Chairman , Datuk Loy Teik Ngan , officiating the event . CIMB Islamic , Taylor ’ s , and Yayasan Muslim Aid Malaysia representatives were also present .

The meaningful partnership with Taylor ’ s started in 2017 and has since trained 500 participants with a total investment of over RM3 million , which includes training and monitoring , as well as grants .”

Tourism Malaysia brings Iran and UAE travel agents on FAM Trips to Malaysia
TWO BATCHES of travel trade partners , comprising 17 travel agents from Iran and the United Arab Emirates ( UAE ), recently embarked on a six-day , five-night stay familiarisation trip ( FAM Trips ) hosted by Tourism Malaysia .
The trips promoted Malaysia ’ s colourful city and fun destinations first-hand , and increased product knowledge on nature to their respective markets .
The first batch from Iran , held in collaboration with Air Arabia , was brought from Tehran via Sharjah in UAE to Kuala Lumpur to experience several tourism spots such as KLCC , KL Tower , Merdeka Square and Istana Negara .
The group then proceeded to the Lexis Hibiscus , Port Dickson , to discover what the 5-star luxury beach resort offers . The eight participants also managed to travel to Putrajaya and enjoy various indoor and outdoor activities at Resorts World Genting .
The second trip involved nine travel agents from UAE , including representatives from Air Arabia . The participants enjoyed water sports at Lexis Hibiscus , Port Dickson , sightseeing around Kuala Lumpur , and immersing themselves in the brand-new Genting Skyworlds and Sunway Lagoon .
Tourism Malaysia Director-General Datuk Dr Ammar Abd Ghapar said : “ Tourism Malaysia continues to enhance Malaysia ’ s tourism promotion to the Middle Eastern market apart from active participation in the latest edition of the Arabian Travel Market ( ATM ) 2023 last May .”
