AS global demand for halal products grows, Indonesia is back in the spotlight with the Halal Indonesia International Industry Expo( Halal Indo 2026) this month. The event gathers businesses, investors, buyers, and industry leaders from many sectors.
Organised by the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia and Dyandra Promosindo, the four-day exhibition will be held from Sept 24 to 27 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition( ICE), BSD City, Tangerang.
This event is a key step in Indonesia’ s effort to transform its thriving halal market into a global force.
BUILDING ON SUCCESS
Halal Indo 2026 builds on last year’ s success, which attracted 27,340 visitors from 31 countries and 346 exhibitors.
Exhibitors from Malaysia, China, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, and the United Kingdom demonstrated the rising international interest in Indonesia’ s halal market.
The 2025 exhibition generated IDR 7.7 billion in transactions and IDR 7.2 trillion in investment commitments, paving the way for even bigger ambitions this year.
BIGGER PLATFORM
This year, Halal Indo 2026 will cover three exhibition halls and aims to host over 500 exhibitors and more than 30,000 visitors from around the world. These numbers underscore the event’ s growing stature.
The exhibition will bring together key sectors of the halal economy, including food and beverages, fashion, cosmetics, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, education, tourism and hospitality.
Dyandra Promosindo president director Daswar Marpaung sees the event as more than an exhibition. It is a vibrant hub for collaboration among industry pioneers, investors, buyers, regulators, and communities.

For Indonesia, these numbers offer a chance to lead the global halal value chain. Indonesia’ s fashion sector exported USD 8.28 billion in halal products in 2024, showing halal ' s commercial power beyond food and drink.
GOVERNMENT PUSH
The Ministry of Industry will also use Halal Indo 2026 to showcase its support for the national halal industry through the Ministry of Industry Pavilion.
The pavilion will feature halal industry and public services, workshops, coaching clinics, the Industrial Festival and P3DN Business Matching. At the same time, the Indonesian Halal Industry Awards( IHYA) 2026 will recognise stakeholders who have contributed to the sector.
With five million halal-certified products and the world’ s largest Muslim population, Indonesia stands at the forefront of the global halal movement. Halal Indo 2026 reflects this momentum as Indonesia accelerates its international ambitions.-
