MoU Signings at COP28

MoU1 :
UEM LESTRA AND ENGGANG HOLDINGS PARTNER FOR 170MW SOLAR PLANT IN PAHANG
UEM Lestra Berhad and Enggang Holdings Sdn Bhd have inked an agreement to develop a 170MWp solar plant in Gebeng , Pahang . The project , spanning 450 acres near the Gebeng Industrial Park , aims to bolster Pahang ’ s renewable energy agenda .
The agreement was signed at the Malaysia Pavilion during COP28 , witnessed by key dignitaries includ-
ing the Regent of Pahang , Tengku Mahkota Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah . The Regent emphasized the importance of a clear , transparent policy for sustainable renewable energy development in the state .
MoU2 :
CYPARK RESOURCES PARTNERS WITH MASDAR TO BOOST MALAYSIA ’ S RENEWABLE ENERGY
CYPARK Resources Berhad has signed a strategic MoU with Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC - Masdar , a major global renewable energy company . The agreement , signed by Dato ’ Hamidah Moris of Cypark and Abdulla Zayed of Masdar , was witnessed by His Majesty Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri ’ ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah at the Malaysia Pavilion .
Ministers Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Aziz , Dato ’ Seri Diraja Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir , and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad also attended the event .
MoU3 :
PLUS AND GENTARI INK MOU TO PROPEL MALAYSIA ’ S EV ECOSYSTEM
PLUS Malaysia Berhad ( PLUS ), a subsidiary of UEM Group Berhad , signed a Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU ) with Gentari , aiming to advance the country ’ s energy transition , green industry , and sustainability goals . This took place at COP28 in Dubai . Dato ’ Mohd Izani Ghani , Managing Director of UEM Group , highlighted the collaboration ’ s role in fostering a sustainable business environment .
The MoU outlines various initiatives such as the installation of Direct Current Fast Chargers ( DCFC ) along PLUS highways , development of electric forecourts , and renewable energy solutions . Cop 29
