IN Yang : Two halves that together complete wholeness . Yin and yang are also the starting point for change . When something is whole , it ’ s unchanging and complete . So when you split something into two halves , it upsets the equilibrium of wholeness . Both halves are chasing after each other as they seek a new balance .

In an organisation , merely surviving by apple polishing , getting into someone ’ s underpants , discrediting and disrespecting a peer while taking credit for oneself with no or little effort is never the answer . One must be able to grapple with knowledge of current practices and performance while boosting organisational health which devolves with three sets of opposites : change and stability , control and empowerment , consistency and variability . Seek one without the other and you could be toast .

As to work-life balance , it means something a little different for each one of us , although the goal might be similar - to find happiness through a successful career and a healthy lifestyle .

Focusing too much on one area , generally means you neglect the others and by doing so , the mind and body gets affected – causing stress , poor nutrition , bad habits and absence of sleep .

Hence , one cannot hold on to yang alone and banish yin , but to keep the two in balance for a successful life .
