The event, organised by the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) aimed at highlighting the huge role that caregivers play in the management of the disease. Held on June 30, the event brought together more than 150 cancer survi- vors and caregivers to celebrate their survivorship. National Cancer Survivors Day was conceived in 1987 in the United States, and is generally celebrated on the first Sunday in June with a myriad of events happening in countries all over the world to honor cancer survivors such as carnivals, art exhibits and other contests. At the national-level, whole-day event this year, activities included lectures and workshop sessions.
