FEW days ago , I received news that the local music busker in our neighbourhood breakfast café had just died in his house a few hours after his usual morning session . He was only 46 .
It was confirmed later , after a postmortem that he had four blockages to his heart .
His wife reported that he was sitting down with her around 11 am when he just lowered his head and died peacefully without any pain at all . There was no previous report of related symptoms , blood pressure or diabetes .
A day earlier , there was another case related to cardiovascular issues . The nation was shocked by the sudden passing of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister , Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub , who had a brain haemorrhage in Alor Star and died the following night .
Some symptoms of poor blood circulation are pain and numbness , tingling or cold on parts of the body , especially the legs , fingers , feet and toes . Researchers and health care professionals all agree that these ailments are related to poor blood circulation which can be treated through preventive measures of food and exercise as well as stress management and not relying solely on drugs and pills .
The ancient Chinese and Indian healthcare experts have long recognised this and provided key tips on improving blood circulation through preventive therapies . These include drinking adequate water , especially green tea , ginger tea and all types of berries .
The Japanese in modern times went further with technology to invent electrotherapy machines that use electrons to massage the blood at a rate of 70 vibrations per second . This electron therapy has been proven to enhance further blood circulation by loosening and breaking down any plaques or blockages in the blood vessels , allowing the blood to flow more freely to transport the three key elements in the blood , namely water , oxygen and nutrients to all the vital organs in the body including the pancreas , kidney , liver , heart , lungs and the brain .
When the heart receives the maximum benefit from these three key elements , it will perform better and optimises the pressure to provide even better distribution of the blood to the other vital organs . Similarly , the kidney functions better to discharge waste and toxics from the body and

HOW TO KEEP HEALTHY
I had a reunion with my varsity buddies which included one who had suffered a couple of strokes over the last few years . He continued to smoke after the first stroke and another stroke when we went to have durians in Raub in 2019 .
He survived that but continued to experience a couple more since then , despite undergoing the necessary operations . Although he has been forced to quit smoking , he now has dementia as he cannot remember recent events . He is helped by a Filipino minder to help him go through his daily needs .
On the other hand , the rest of the 10 of us were all relatively fit and healthy . The best among us , an ex-banker and businessman , has climbed Mount Kinabalu more than 60 times and is planning another one before the year ends .
He also revealed something amazing - that he will be climbing with another banker who is 84 years old . It shows that if one knows how to value and celebrate life , one can do it at any age , provided one lives a healthy lifestyle .
Our friend also plays great table tennis , which is shared among a couple of others in the group . According to health experts , table tennis is probably the best exercise for senior citizens as it helps mental alertness to prevent dementia , works up a sweat easily and does not stress your knees or legs , unlike badminton , squash or even tennis .
I know of a couple of other senior citizen groups who continue to play table tennis , even organise trips outstation , and even to Indonesia and Brunei to play friendly table tennis matches with other senior citizen groups .
I also attended a reunion with our media and advertising fraternity – Rakan Lama Media ( not Rakan Media Lama , which implies old media ) who are still active in the industry or are semi-retired and advisors to various media and corporate organisations .
There was good food and drinks around , and the camaraderie was excellent . Of course , health issues always become a key topic and one thing for sure is how to keep healthy and away from pills .
BACK TO THE OLD-FASHIONED WAY
That is when alternative health care becomes a very viable option . Ayurvedic , Traditional Chinese Medicine ( TCM ), Acupuncture and even Ketum juice have become viable considerations .
We talked about the Japanese
The number one danger for senior citizens is when they fall and fracture their hips , which was what happened to my grandfather . He finally succumbed after a couple of months bedridden in the hospital .”
ADI SATRIA , a marketing communications veteran , believes in balancing mental stimulation and knowledge gathering with the proper nutrition and physical exercise to ensure healthy blood circulation . electron therapy for good blood circulation , which has been around for the last two decades but many have not discovered it yet . This therapy treats the cause of the problem by massaging the blood at 70 vibrations per second , resulting in better blood circulation .
As I have been on this therapy for the last 10 years , I can attest to its efficacy which has also helped many of my friends overcome their many health issues – based on the understating that good blood circulation is the answer to all ailments . However , most people will dismiss this and continue to swear by pills to suppress the symptoms .
Many do not understand how people can live till past 70 without taking any pills or drugs and lead a healthy life . I always refer to my grandfather , who lived till 102 without taking any pills for NCDs ( non-communicable diseases ) which is the trend among these sufferers nowadays .

In this fast-paced commercial world supported by digital transformation , everything is expected like yesterday . We can see how social media and its various platforms are able to send messages in an instant . The pressure is always there to act fast especially for decision-makers .
Many cannot cope and tend to neglect managing their own physical self , such as not getting enough exercise and temporarily escaping through indulgence in food .
Besides pills we need to return to old-fashioned yet beneficial exercise routines , simple foods , vegetables and fruits instead of fast foods . We must drink two and more litres of water daily and take herbal drinks instead of fizzy or carbonated drinks to improve and maintain the state of our blood and its circulation so that every vital organ benefits from its nutrition , water and oxygen delivery .
And , of course , quitting smoking is the best first step . – The Health
