Florence acquires Zipnosis from Bright Health

HEALTHCARE enablement software company Florence , which focuses largely on workflow automation , has acquired Zipnosis , an asynchronous-first virtual care solution , from insurtech Bright Heat . The acquisition price was not disclosed .

With this , acquisition Florence expects to broaden its product offerings with both synchronous and asynchronous virtual care . The ultimate goal , the company said , is to address the issue of clinical capacity by creating a consumercentric interface that engages patients across both virtual and physical care .
“ Zipnosis ’ asynchronous telemedicine solution is the best in the industry and perfectly aligns with Florence ’ s vision to create capacity to care in physical settings ,” said Florence CEO Aniq Rahman .
What Zipnosis will do , said Florence , is boost patient
NOVARTIS Foundation and IntraHealth International launched the CARDIO4Cities Accelerator , on May 22 , at the sides of the 76th World Health Assembly .
The accelerator aims to replicate CARDIO4Cities , the cardiovascular ( CV ) population health approach pioneered and validated by the Novartis Foundation , in 30 major cities within the next three years . As a neutral broker between city governments , health experts , industry , implementing partners , funders and investors , the accelerator pledges the global community to direct action and
SK bioscience , a global innovative vaccine and biotech company committed to promoting human health from prevention to cure , announced that the company ’ s CEO , Jaeyong Ahn presented methods for equitable access of vaccine in the world at the Regionalised Vaccine Manufacturing Collaborative ( RVMC ) Side Event as a panel representing private companies .
The RVMC is a global initiative launched at the World Economic Forum ( WEF ) in May 2022 to address inequality in vaccine distribution between few rich countries and lowand middle-income countries during the Covid-19 pandemic . This year ’ s RVMC was held in line with the 76th World Health Assembly week ( May 21-30 , 2023 ).
Under the title ‘ National

The acquisition follows Florence ’ s formal launch in April ,
funding toward transforming CV population health and equity .
Projections based on initial CARDIO4Cities programs in São Paulo ( Brazil ), Dakar ( Senegal ) and Ulaanbaatar ( Mongolia ), published in PLOS Global Public Health , revealed that CARDIO4Cities was highly cost-effective , increased blood pressure controls by three times or more , and averted up to 13 per cent of strokes and 12 per cent of heart attacks within one to two years of implementation .
“ The launch of the CARDIO4Cities Accelerator is a logical next step to enable large scale when it also announced US $ 20 million in seed funding , led by Thrive Capital , Google Ventures and Salesforce Ventures .
Florence promises patients the ability to track and accelerate their healthcare journey via smartphone , update clinical information , facilitate prescription fulfilment , initiate self-discharge , and schedule follow-up appointments . The company also said its goal is to reduce costs through “ consumergrade patient experiences ” that automate staff workflows .
Zipnosis , which currently employs about 60 people , said it can increase physician capacity by 60 per cent in just 15 minutes per day .
By selling off Zipnosis , Bright Health hopes to stay afloat after overdrawing on its credit . Originally the company was tasked with securing US $ 300 million by the end of April to avoid bankruptcy , but according to a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission , it managed to secure an extension through June 30 .

LEADING Chinese chemical distribution company Sunrise Group has secured a global ranking of tenth place and third place in the Asia-Pacific region on the latest ICIS Top 100 Chemical Companies list . According to its latest financial report , Ningbo-based Sunrise Group generated US $ 3.6 billion in sales .
In 2022 , the company expanded into the pharmaceutical sector , acquiring Taizhou Dachen Pharmaceutical , a firm specialising in R & D and manufacturing of pharmaceutical raw materials and intermediates such as pyrazole and sitagliptin side chain .
