There comes a time in any man’s life where he finds something he
wants to protect. That he would gladly die for to shield it from harm.
For me, it comes in the form of my wife and kid.
First of all, I am not the kind of person who would do peek-a-boos
with a niece, nephew, or any random baby I meet.
However, something happened the day I married my wife, and
when we knew that we are to have a child together a year after.
Maybe it was because I saw him being born right in front of my eyes,
or maybe it was because I saw how tiny his hands were against the
needle they had to put in when in NICU.
I never knew that I had a father in me, and now , I would give up
anything to spend time with the kid and gal.
And it was during our time taking care of the now-two-year-old-
boy that I felt overly-protective. Why? because it is so sad to see him
breathing through his mouth when he has a cold, or when he is lying
