SECTOR DEVELOPMENT: The fourth edition of PAKAR Pertanian Expo 2026 aims to strengthen collaboration across Malaysia’ s agriculture ecosystem.

AGRICULTURE is entering a period where innovation is no longer optional but essential. From smart farming systems and precision irrigation to advances in aquaculture and livestock management, technology is reshaping how food is produced, managed, and delivered.

Against this backdrop, platforms that bring together farmers, researchers, technology providers, and agribusinesses are becoming increasingly important.
The PAKAR Pertanian Expo( PPE) 2026, returning for its fourth edition from Apr 17 to 19 at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang( MAEPS) in Selangor, aims to play precisely that role— accelerating collaboration and showcasing innovations that can strengthen Malaysia’ s agriculture ecosystem.
Over time, PPE has grown into a diverse agriculture trade event, bringing together farmers, plantation operators, agribusinesses, suppliers, technology developers, researchers, government-linked groups, and industry associations to drive collaboration within the sector.
Co-organised by 8Tivation Studio Sdn Bhd and MARDI Corporation Sdn Bhd, the commercial arm of the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute( MARDI), they noted that the upcoming edition aims to continue building on the momentum of previous years by creating more opportunities for face-to-face engagement.
Such interactions remain important in
“ Visitors to the exhibition can expect to see a wide array of agricultural products, systems, and services designed to support modern farming practices.”
an industry where practical solutions, shared experience, and long-term partnerships often shape the success of agricultural ventures.
SECTOR SPOTLIGHT
In addition to the main agriculture exhibition, the event will feature two specialised segments focusing on key sectors within Malaysia’ s agri-food ecosystem. These include the; 1. PAKAR Perikanan Expo, dedicated to fisheries and aquaculture, and the 2. PAKAR Penternakan Expo, which centres on livestock and animal farming.
The inclusion of these segments highlights the increasing importance of fisheries and livestock production in ensuring food security and strengthening the country’ s agri-food supply chain.
By bringing together experts and businesses from these sectors, the expo aims to foster more focused discussions and collaboration.
Visitors to the exhibition can expect to see a wide array of agricultural products, systems, and services designed to support modern farming practices. Exhibits will cover fertilisers and crop protection solutions, seeds and planting materials, irrigation systems, and water management technologies.
Machinery and agricultural vehicles will also be showcased alongside greenhouse solutions, plantation technologies, and smart farming innovations, including Internet of Things( IoT) applications to improve productivity and efficiency.
Other displays will include testing equipment, agriculture-related construction tools, and solutions tailored for aquaculture and livestock operations.
With such a broad range of exhibitors, the event offers visitors an opportunity to compare technologies, discover new products, and gain insights into emerging trends shaping the future of agriculture.
Exhibitors will also benefit from direct access to potential partners and customers, opportunities to showcase their innovations to a targeted audience, and platforms for networking and forming collaborations that can accelerate business growth.
The expo is expected to attract farmers, distributors, manufacturers, agri-technology companies, entrepreneurs, and policymakers, all seeking to better understand the evolving landscape of Malaysia’ s agricultural industry and identify new avenues for growth.
