Reap the benefits of ISES 2022

AS THE consciousness of sustainable energy begins to sprout among consumers and vendors alike in the fast-paced , ever-developing world , the 5th International Sustainable Energy Summit ( ISES 2022 ) seeks to further promote and raise awareness of clean energy on a bigger scale in the Malaysian market and beyond .

While initially scheduled to take place in April 2020 , the biennial event was rescheduled to Aug 29-30 , 2022 . The challenges of the pandemic allowed the Sustainable Energy Development Authority SEDA Malaysia to further strengthen its mission in discussing and expanding opportunities developed within the industry for the upcoming event . Joining hands with the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources ( KeTSA ), the summit is expected to increase the momentum of advancing Malaysia ’ s energy transition .
ISES 2022 will provide a platform for intellectual and strategic discussions on the actions and intercessions required towards accomplishing the government ’ s optimistic renewable energy target of 31 per cent by 2025 and 40 per cent by 2035 outlined in the recent Malaysia Renewable Energy Roadmap ( MyRER ). The summit aligns with

The restart of economic activities and transport by late 2021 increased substantially to meet the pent-up demand the global call for governments to prioritise and expedite the energy transition agenda , to implement measures to achieve economic recovery , post-Covid-19 .
Apart from sustainable energy , the two-day event will also include sessions on exploring digital innovation in the electricity system . Industry leaders at the event will discuss topics such as regional interconnectivity , green growth opportunities , and decarbonisation of the energy sector .
With a stellar line-up of thought leaders , the main plenary session on Empowering Energy Transition will feature the perspectives of energy experts on the industry ’ s pressing issues , against the backdrop of the global energy supply crisis
SEDA Malaysia is confident that the event will allow for various stakeholders to corroborate and coordinate on critical issues , which will allow Malaysia to tap into the huge potential made available through RE projects to further improve economic , environmental , and social outcomes .
Grounded in the MyRER , ISES 2022 intends to raise awareness of these areas and their impact while also looking into new resources and directions for the future of energy . SEDA Malaysia has ensured that measures have been taken to implement to encourage public involvement and raise public awareness and participation in SE-related issues . For example , it has for the first time , introduced deep-dive workshops .
As such , the public , stakeholders , and vendors alike must take advantage of the benefits ISES 2022 will bring , to move forward as a nation where green and sustainable energy become the future .
