ABCC signs agreement
with ApexBrasil
An investment of US $ 2.84 million will be made over 30 months to promote trade
THE Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce ( ABCC ) has signed an agreement with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency or ApexBrasil , to promote and boost the exports of Brazilian halal products to Arab countries .
Through the agreement , they aim to encourage more Brazilian products in the halal market , particularly higher value-added food products . As part of this , they will implement the ‘ Halal do Brasil ’ project , to advance the industry on a global scale .
The agreement foresees a total of US $ 2.84 million worth of investment over 30 months , to diversify the exports . It further includes providing financial aid for Brazilian food companies who wish to receive halal certification for their products .
The major goal is to provide certifications for 500 potential Brazilian food and beverage exporters and enable them to engage in the global halal food trade .
Furthermore , the agreement also strives to increase Brazilian exports to Malaysia and Indonesia , expand trade with the 22 Arab League nations , and increase the sales of halal-certified food to countries with lower Muslim populations , such as France , Germany ,
and the UK .
Osmar Chohfi , President of ABCC said : “ We are pleased to have inked this agreement with Apex- Brasil and look forward to boosting the share of Brazilian products in the halal market .
“ We intend to achieve this by leveraging our long-standing partnerships with Islamic countries as well as Brazil ’ s recognition as one of the countries with the best expertise in the production of halal food products , which they have acquired through protein trading since the 1970s .
“ As there is a limited availability of halal-certified products , this cooperation seeks to increase this and promote Brazilian growth in the Islamic markets by encouraging halal certification among Brazilian enterprises .”

Muslim countries strongly emphasise producing such products with halal materials and processes , as well as hygiene and health .
He further highlighted that halal establishes several guidelines for food and clothing , toiletries , entertainment , cosmetics , tourism , and medications . It also lays down guidelines for the Islamic financial system .
The 2022 State of the Global Islamic Economy report estimates that the global halal market will expand 7.1 per cent by 2025 , with 1.9 billion consumers and a value of US $ 1.267 trillion annually .
Al Shaheer Corporation signs beef supply deal with McDonald ’ s
AL SHAHEER Corporation , a significant exporter of meat from Pakistan , has just disclosed a relationship with McDonald ’ s Pakistan .
With this action , the business became the first local business to sign a business association deal with the global fast-food chain McDonald ’ s Pakistan .
Al Shaheer Corporation will now supply beef products to McDonald ’ s Pakistan due to the cooperation . Al Shaheer Corporation promptly informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange ( PSX ) of the terms of the agreement by sending a notice to the exchange .
Al Shaheer Corporation ’ s information indicates that their frozen food factory in Lahore will supply beef products to McDonald ’ s Pakistan . While most of ASC ’ s activities were in the export sector , partnering with a well-known brand domestically might lead to new opportunities for the company .
Al Shaheer Corporation said : “ It is our great pleasure to announce that ASC is the first-ever Pakistani company to enter into a business relationship agreement with McDonald ’ s Pakistan for the supply of beef products . We expect this agreement will impact ASC ’ s revenue and profitability , thereby generating returns for our shareholders .”
Halal Trade and Marketing Centre partners with Organic Expo Dubai
THE Halal Trade and Marketing Centre , a global business development organisation , focusing on opportunities within the halal economy for producers , suppliers , and distributors of halal goods and services , has established a strategic agreement with the Middle East Organic and Natural Products .
The strategic partnership aims to acknowledge the value of mutual collaborative efforts and the contributions made by the two institutions to halal industry practice . Both parties desire to develop mutually strengthening and enriching knowledge-sharing collaboration in the landscape of the halal industry to promote it globally .
The Middle East Organic and Natural Product Expo Dubai is the only business event centred on organic and natural products in the Middle East . The platform , sponsored by the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment , has brought vendors and buyers together for 20 years .
The event comprises five natural market areas : Food & Beverage , Health & Beauty , and Living & Environment . According to the community , it is the largest gathering of bioproducts in the region and the best place to obtain organic and natural products . This year ’ s event is at the Dubai World Trade Center on Dec 13 – 15 .
Brunei Halal Foods launches products in Dhaka
GHANIM International Corporation recently launched Brunei Halal Foods products in Bangladesh .
The launch at Unimart Entrance Lobby , Gulshan was officiated by Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah ( Minister of Finance and Economy II Brunei ) and Dato Seri Awang Ahmaddin Abdul Rahman ( Minister of Home Affairs of Brunei ).
During the product launch , an MOU was signed between Ghanim International Corporation ( Brunei ) and ZES Trading ( Bangladesh ) to strengthen the collaboration between the two companies and explore various business opportunities , including importing raw materials from Bangladesh for further processing , among others .
