EXPANDING the reach of halal knowledge and insights, the official launch of al-Basirah in Bahasa Melayu and Japanese strengthens Malaysia’ s role in the global halal discourse. Held on Sep 17, 2025, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre( MITEC), the launch took place during the Malaysia International Halal Showcase( MIHAS) 2025. It also featured a panel session themed‘ WHI Movers: The Women Pioneering Malaysia’ s halal economy.’
Originally in English, al-Basirah is the definitive guide to the halal sector. The publication is a collaboration between the International Institute for Halal Research and Training( INHART) of the International Islamic University Malaysia( IIUM)

The launch was officiated by Pahang Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council( MUIP) Deputy Chairman Tengku Amir Nasser Ibrahim Shah.
“ This edition is not merely a book, but a vessel of knowledge and inspiration. It unites the insights of scholars, industry experts and halal practitioners, particularly to guide the younger generation who will drive the future of the halal industry,” he remarked.
