Brunei opens its doors

BRUNEI is using Grand Halal Bangkok 2026 to highlight its halal tourism and grow its profile as a welcoming destination for Muslim travellers. The Brunei Economic Development Board( BEDB) represented Brunei, supporting local companies’ international growth. Siti Khadija Salleh of BEDB said participation aims to give Bruneian businesses more exposure and opportunities for partnerships with international buyers. Siti explained:“ The delegation featured a variety of offerings, ranging from food products such as sauces, pastes and ready-to-eat products, to services in areas including tourism and healthcare”. Bruneian companies are expanding in Sarawak, Sabah, Singapore, Malaysia, and other destinations. Siti noted Bruneian businesses are well-positioned to meet rising global demand for quality food. She added that Grand Halal Bangkok has helped Bruneian businesses connect with partners and strengthen their regional presence.

DARUSSALAM Services is promoting Brunei as a Muslimfriendly tourism destination at Grand Halal Bangkok 2026, highlighting its appeal for authentic travel and culinary experiences.
The company, specialising in Hajj, Umrah, and tourism, is introducing food-focused travel packages to showcase Brunei’ s culinary culture.
Assistant General Manager Nuratika Abdullah said the company is at the exhibition to raise awareness of Brunei ' s tourism and explore collaborations.
Darussalam Services serves travellers from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Europe, Russia, and South Korea.
Nuratika noted many Muslim travellers are still unfamiliar with Brunei as a destination despite its Muslim-friendly environment.
The company sees growing opportunities to attract more Southeast Asia visitors and build partnerships to enhance Brunei ' s tourism.
“ We want to introduce that Brunei is one of the safest countries for them to come to. Most of our food, our hotels-everything is halal”.
