Regional brand push

• Slim Chickens Malaysia is expanding rapidly with plans for up to 12 new outlets
and regional entry into Southeast Asia markets.
• The brand differentiates itself through quality-focused offerings, halal-certified
operations, and a community-driven dining experience centred on Southern hospitality.
• It ' s growing repeat customer rates reflect strong confidence in the brand’ s halal
and quality positioning.

SLIM Chickens Malaysia is accelerating its regional ambitions following the official launch of its second outlet at NU Sentral, marking the brand ' s debut in Asia.

The opening signals a broader strategy to establish a strong foothold in Southeast Asia while building on its growing global presence.
The fast-casual dining brand first entered the Malaysian market with its outlet in SS15, Subang Jaya in 2025. With early traction and a steady return of customers, the company is now setting its sights on rapid expansion.
Plans are already in place to open between nine and 12 additional outlets across Malaysia over the next two to three years, with a longer-term goal of reaching 30 outlets within a decade.
Beyond Malaysia, the brand is positioning itself as a regional player. Halal, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance Manager, Amirul Ashraf Ravi stated: " As Southeast Asia ' s master franchisee, the business is looking into entering nearby markets like Singapore and Brunei, with a possible expansion goal of 2027 or early 2028."
At the core of Slim Chickens ' positioning is its emphasis on product quality and differentiation. Rather than competing directly with traditional fast food or other chicken-based concepts, the brand focuses on freshly prepared chicken tenders paired with a range of house-made sauces.
Marketing Director, Shuen Chiu explained: " We are not a fast food chain, Korean-fried or grilled chicken restaurant. Our aim is to create light, crisp, delicious, juicy tenders from authentic fresh chicken tenders, matched with a range of 12 house-

made sauces, in an enjoyable setting for both friends and family."
The offering is designed to appeal to consumers seeking a balance between convenience and quality, particularly in urban markets where dining preferences are evolving.
Equally important is the brand ' s focus on experience. Chiu highlighted that the concept extends beyond food, centring on creating a welcoming environment where customers can gather.
This approach draws on the idea of Southern hospitality, emphasising warmth, community and a sense of familiarity within each outlet.
Operationally, the company has placed strong emphasis on maintaining halal standards across its entire supply chain. From ingredient sourcing to food preparation, strict controls are implemented to ensure compliance, reflecting the importance of halal assurance in the Malaysian market.
This commitment also supports the brand ' s potential expansion into other
Muslim-majority markets in the region.
Customer response has been encouraging, with a high rate of repeat visits indicating strong acceptance among local diners. According to the company, Malaysian consumers ' discerning tastes have reinforced the importance of consistency in both flavour and quality.
Globally, Slim Chickens continues to experience significant growth, with more than 300 outlets worldwide and a nearly 25 per cent increase in restaurant expansion.
Markets such as the United Kingdom and the European Union remain key growth drivers, while new territories, including Poland, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines, are being explored.
As competition intensifies in the casual dining segment, Slim Chickens Malaysia ' s expansion strategy focuses on localisation, quality assurance, and community-driven experiences. With a clear growth roadmap, the brand is positioning itself to capture a larger share of the region ' s evolving dining landscape.-
